I’m Caitlin, a Newcastle-based wedding photographer capturing loved-up people in a candid, natural, and fun way. My approach is all about real moments—belly laughs, happy tears, and everything in between—without awkward posing or forced smiles.

I’m based primarily across Newcastle, Port Stephens, the Hunter Valley, and the Central Coast, and I regularly photograph weddings throughout Australia (and occasionally beyond). Whether you’re planning a laid-back coastal celebration, a vineyard wedding in the Hunter Valley, or an intimate elopement close to home, I’m there to document your day as it genuinely unfolds.

My Approach

I see my role as helping couples feel comfortable and free to be themselves. This usually involves a chat, a few laughs, and a genuinely good time. I’m not big on posing, so we won’t be doing hours of forced photos. Instead, I like to have fun with people — enjoying the day alongside you, chatting with guests, and capturing honest snapshots of your wedding and your love.

I want you to truly enjoy your day without feeling like I’m interfering. I’ll mostly be hanging back, watching for those candid moments I find to be the most genuine. Of course, I’ll guide you through family photos and portraits when needed.

Getting to know your family and friends, and witnessing the authentic connections between people, is what makes my work such a joy. It’s a regular occurrence for me to cry during ceremonies and speeches — I’m a hopeless romantic. I’m a huge fan of stunning places, kind people, big adventures, and great parties.

My favourite images are candid, colourful, romantic, back-lit moments — photos that show you spending time with your friends and family, celebrating your love. That’s what it’s all about. I’m always up for suggestions and ideas too… let’s collaborate.
